Details:
* WHAT...Snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow accumulations
mainly of 2 to 4 inches with 4 to 7 inches on the highest
ridgetops generally above 5000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45
mph.

* WHERE...Haywood and Swain Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM Thursday to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and
produce scattered power outages. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.

* WHAT...Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, 50
mph at higher elevations.

* WHERE...Most of the mountains of North Carolina.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strong wind gusts this evening and
tonight could bring down additional trees and limbs that were
damaged by Helene back in late September.
